I think, I think. I'm jealous, I'm bitter. I'm a wildchild and love spontaneity. I like things that are witty and things that leave me in deep thought. I'm indecisive as ever. I have a weakness for beautiful, broken things and guys that no one else understands. I'm critical, but mainly of myself.
Clearly I overanalyze everything.

So my birthday is coming up and I was just reminiscing about my birthday last year… which led me to this drunken selfie in the Denim nd Diamonds bathroom. I was thinking, “wow, I look pretty tan” and then I remembered WHY I was tan!I let my fucking roommates convince me to enter a bikini ‘nd boots contest… in a Texas flag bathing suit.  Hahahaha! They rescheduled it so it never happened (probably for the best) but ahaha the fact that I was so ready to do it…
Don’t normally take part in these things… but that’s me when I was maybe in the 4th or 5th grade and last summer.

Like garden gnomes. A little kid that reminds me of myself. Nights spent stargazing. Comfortable silences. Sleeping in my bed in the house I grew up in after being gone for long periods of time. Being adored by a child. Reading a quality book. When someone remembers something I didn’t expect them to. Relief. Spontaneity. Sledding down a big hill. Having my thirst quenched by a huge glass of milk. Finding something I thought I had lost. Hand-written letters. Boston subway musicians. Beautiful handwriting. Hammocks. Grass that compels me to go barefoot and frolic. Two-stepping. Horses. Texas weather. Elderly couples. The way the waves always come back. Every other marvelous thing about the beach. Barbecues. Strapping on my board for the first time each season. Writing. Garlic bread and macaroni and cheese. Birthdays. The color red. The way pictures never change, even if the people in them do. Having a cold beer outside in the summer. Feeling like, “Damn, I look good today.” Parties and celebrating, in general. How dogs’ main goal in life are to be loved unconditionally. I could (and would love to) go on, but it’s 3:16am and I have shit to do tomorrow. However, I just want this to be a reminder for whoever needs it (including myself), that the good always outweighs the bad, even if it goes unnoticed. You’ve just got to remember to turn on the light.
Gerardo and I… everyone screams drinking songs, slamming the table and creating a scene, and you have to stand on the bench and finish your liter of bier. God bless Germany.
